I am a Partner at Scruggs Law Firm, and for more than seven years I have focused my practice on representing injured employees in workers' compensation claims throughout Texas. I handle cases at every stage of the process, from administrative proceedings and contested case hearings to appeals and judicial review in Texas courts. Based in Houston, I represent clients across a large portion of Texas, covering the firm's workers' compensation caseload from Houston through Central Texas and north to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I understand that most injured workers are hardworking people who simply want to recover, provide for their families, and get back to their lives. I take pride in providing straightforward advice, honest communication, and aggressive representation when insurance carriers refuse to do what is right.

My educational background gives me a unique ability to understand the complex medical issues that often arise in serious injury cases. I earned my Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, a Master of Science in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine from University College London, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Baylor University. I am also a licensed United States Patent Attorney.

In addition to my legal practice, I previously served on the Board of Directors for the El Paso Young Lawyers Association. I am licensed to practice law in Texas and remain dedicated to serving workers throughout the state.
